In the past, there was a station of the old cog (steam) railway, the so-called cogwheels and electric railway building. Today, this building is connected by a glass corridor with the Solisko hotel, where the Solisko children's hospital used to be). The first cogwheel began to operate for the public on the Štrba-Štrbské Pleso line as early as 1896, its construction was initiated by Jozef Szentiványi.
