The most frequently inflected name and place that we encounter when searching for the history of the territory of today's Košice - Nad jazerom City District is the Lubina settlement. The area lay on the right side of the river Hornád, bordered by the villages Krásna nad Hornádom, Barca, Košice. It is not known when and how the settlement of Lubina was founded, but it is already mentioned in the document connected with the first mention of Villa Cassa, ie about Košice, from 1230.
