The territory of today's Zelenča was inhabited as early as 4500-3000 BC, from the Lengyel culture, the Eneolithic, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age to the Roman and Slavic periods. The artefacts, which are stored in the Archaeological Institute in Nitra and in the West Slovak Museum in Trnava, clearly confirm this.
