Since quality is born in the vineyard, we have given priority to planting our own vineyards. In the years 2014 - 2016, we planted 10 hectares of our own vineyards in Vrbov. We consider young vineyards to be our great advantage, because we had the opportunity to choose a variety of products according to the climate, soil type but also our own experience so as to achieve a high quality raw material for the production of unique wines. We leaned towards the old varieties that were grown in Vrbovo in the past by our grandfathers such as Veltlínské zelené, Pesecká leánka, Rizling vlašský, Irsay Oliver, Muller Thurgau, Rulandské biele, Rizling rýnsky, Sauvignon, Frankovka modrá but also modern varieties Pálava, Cabernet Sauvignon or Alibernet. We also allowed ourselves a small experiment with the Sammling variety, which is suitable for the production of dessert Rieslings.
In 2010, we moved to the renovated premises of the former brickyard, where the entire wine production takes place. We process the grapes gently with a modern mill-hopper and then press the mash at low pressures. The resulting must for white wines is decanted and fermented with either noble yeast or our own fermentation, depending on the type of wine we want to produce. We also use the technology of controlled fermentation, which is followed by aging of wines in stainless steel tanks. We ferment red wines in vinifiers together with skins and seeds for 7-14 days, followed by pressing. The wines also mature in stainless steel tanks, some of the red wines acquire a unique character by aging in wooden oak barrels.
We offer our customers the possibility of guided tasting directly in the winery, or in our restaurant, or in a hunting lounge with a capacity of 20 people. In the future, we are preparing a tasting room, with the reconstruction of vault furnaces, which were once used for firing bricks.
In the area of our winery, we devote ourselves to our hobby of breeding fallow deer and mouflon.
