The new cellar farm built in 2013 on the site of the former town distillery is equipped with the most modern technologies for the gentle processing of grapes. It enables the production of grape wines of the highest quality. Since the basis of quality wine is primarily quality grapes, the basis of Winterberg wines is grapes that come from the best hunts of the Malokarpatska, Nitra and South Slovak wine-growing regions. Winterberg manages vineyards in an area of about 5 ha, in the locality of Novosády in Skalica, mainly in the composition of Frankovka modrá, Modrý Portugal and Svätovavrinecké, which together form the basis of the harmonious and well-known cuvée Skalický ruby.
At present, the winery specializes in the production of quality varietal wines, where in addition to traditional dry white wines such as Riesling Vlašský, Muscat Moravian or Veltlínské zelené, Sauvignon, Tramín červený or Riesling Rhine have become popular.
Rosé wines are represented by fresh Frankovka blue rosé and Cabernet Sauvignon rosé and red wines, especially the well-known Skalický ruby and Skalická frankovka.
The quality of the wines from the Winterberg winery is confirmed by a number of awards at prestigious competitions at home and abroad and, of course, by the interest of customers from wine bars, restaurants and hotels and end consumers.
