On behalf of the Petríková and Lajdová families, we would like to warmly welcome you to our U Pradeda Pub. The house and cellar have belonged to our family since 1946, when they were bought by my great-grandfather, Jaroslav Lajda, a winegrower and winemaker with heart and soul. He was the last member of our family, fed by a vineyard and wine. This house has undergone several reconstructions since the 1990s, so far the last one has lasted almost four years. It is beautiful in Modra that you will not find two identical ancient cellars in it, while each of them is interesting and breathes history. It is the cellar with the original preserved entrance hall, in which an old rectangular ice house was found during cleaning, is the oldest of the whole buildings. It is built of stone carved from Malokarpatska vineyards and its age is estimated at five hundred years. My great-grandfather's dream was his own will, in which he would offer the fruits of his hard work. I am glad that I partially fulfilled his dream, albeit not until fifty years after his death. I believe that if you decide to visit our pub, you will feel good with us.
The whole team of Pivnice u Pradeda is looking forward to seeing you
