We made the first KLIMKO MODRA WINE with the help of my brother Tomáš from the year 2012. However, my wine story started a little earlier: I have been meeting wine in our family since I was a child. In the eighties (photo-1980), Modra was the largest winegrowing cooperative in all of Czechoslovakia. So even in our country it was impossible to avoid it and for the first time I learned that Klimko likes wine . After high school, I got to know the issue professionally at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, STU. I graduated in 2001 under the guidance of Prof. Malík, our unique wine personality. At the beginning of 2002, I met Ing. Ladislav Šeb from the KARPATSKÁ PERLA winery, where my next winemaking steps were formed for more than 10 years. In the meantime, I did the most important thing in my life - he got married well. Today, together with my wife Marcela, a graduate of the same field, we take care of 5 ha of Modran vineyards and we also buy grapes here. In addition to our own winery, I teach students the technology of wine and beverages at the Secondary Vocational School of Viticulture and Fruit Growing in Modra. And I still have something to learn myself ... As we say: He who understands wine and women understands life!
