The vineyard is our working tool with which we create wines that reflect the place of origin. Our vineyards plant their roots in tuff and andesite volcanic eruptions in Tchaikovsky, at the foot of the southern slopes of the Štiavnica Hills. It is a magical place where two worlds intersect. The hot - southern part of Europe (Pannonian Basin - Pannonicum) ends here and the cold northern part of Europe (Western Carpathians - Carpaticum occidentale) begins with the Štiavnica Hills, where the vineyards are only rarely found.

Officially, our company Muráni Víno Čajkov was founded in 1993 , but we have been working in the vineyards five generations ago. The first written mention that connects our family with viticulture comes from the inventory of Tchaikovsky vineyards, which was created on September 14, 1762 .

At the beginning of the nineties, we managed approximately 1 ha of vineyards and bought most of the grapes. A major turning point came in 2008, when we gradually began planting new vineyards. At present, our nascent vineyards have an area of 10 ha and we plan to plant another 4 ha.

We process part of the grape production ourselves and sell part of it to renowned Slovak winemakers.

Red wines are aged in wooden barrels. We process white wines by the reductive method in stainless steel containers. We bottle the entire production.

At present, our main goal is to get to know perfectly the raw material that is born on the volcanic bedrock. Apply perfect practices in growing vines, find a balance - the ratio in which to combine the traditional practices left to us by ancestors and modern practices offered by the new age.
