Since 1968, two gravel lakes have been created near Adamov, the local part of Gbiel, near the Morava River. Today, they serve not only cottages and vacationers, but they are also an oasis for thousands of water birds of more than 80 species. The largest colony of giggles in Záhorie lives here. It is also the most important nesting ground for wild geese in Slovakia. The town of Gbely built a lookout tower by the lakes from European funds and its own budget, which further increased the attractiveness of this locality. There is a shelter with benches and a table by the lookout tower.

The Adamovské lakes are in the immediate vicinity of the Morava River, which in western Slovakia is a natural water border between Slovakia and the Czech Republic. In the past, these nations were connected either by a fixed road near Brodsk or Hodonín. Today, a motor barge moored in the port of Gbely Adamov has been in operation for ten years. With her, in addition to sightseeing cruises, you can also get to the port of the nearest Moravian village of Tvrdonice, from where you can continue along Anglicska avenue to Pohansko, Mikulčice, Lednicko Valtický areál or just go for a good Moravian wine.
