The most important Holíč architectural monument is the Baroque - Classicist manor house with fortifications. It was built on the old foundations of a water castle and its appearance is the result of the reconstruction of a Renaissance anti-Turkish fortress from the 16th century. Between 1749 and 1754, the Habsburgs had the original four-winged fortress rebuilt into a magnificent summer residence. In 1918, the manor became the property of the state and is currently being renovated.
