Church of St. Peter and Paul

Church of St. Peter and Paul in the village of Cífer-Pác estimated for the Baroque period, but it is significantly older, as stated. The building was built in the first half of the 13th century, ie in the Romanesque style.

An interesting folk tradition is connected to the lever church. At the entrance to the former church cemetery from Cífer, on the inside to the left, two stone blocks were inserted, one with the imprint of a large human foot, the other as a grounded water container. The pious people believed that it was the footprint of some supernatural being. The fact that this is an old tradition is evidenced by a canonical visitation from 1731. The visitor mentioned both stones, according to him, sacred water was kept in a vessel. The people showed a special respect for the stones, walked around them on their knees and believed in their miraculous power.
