The chapel was built in 1835 by the parish priest Ján Salava with a base of 20 gold coins donated by the local farmer Pavol Horváth. During the construction, material obtained from the wall was used, which was removed during the expansion of the cemetery. The chapel fell into disrepair over time. It was repaired in 1969. Karol Slezák and František Počuch took part in the renovations the most among the local citizens. In the canonical visitation of In 1847 it is recorded that the chapel has a capital of 50 gold.

Today, there is a bell in its tower with the inscription "Mors fvgat aeternvm anno 1803". His voice has accompanied the dead in the recent past. The last time it rang was in September 1973, the dead Jozef Slezák.
