The forest locality has a natural woody composition with the occurrence of several rare and protected species of varied drought-loving plants. Since 1984 nature reserve on an area of 24.3 ha in the cadastral area of Horní Orešany on the eastern edge of the Lošon basin. Lošonský háj is located close to the Horné Orešany reservoir to the left of the road from Horné Orešany to Lošonec.
