A significant feature of the "Made in GUnaGU" games is humor - sometimes black and cool, which best captures the value and emotional turmoil of the beginning of the third millennium.

GUnaGU has been around for thirty-one seasons - no alternative theater in Slovakia has lasted so long without interruption - and it deliberately does not play dusty classics, which they see as compulsory rides in stone theaters. The program creates author's games, written directly "on the body" by the actor. In his dramaturgy, he alternates the method of collective creation (which in the past also created the cult performance ENGLISH IS EASY, CSABA IS DEAD, or MODELS) , with a precisely written drama. Today, he mainly stages the plays of Viliam Klimáček, who is also the director and artistic director of GUnaGU. Klimáček is a renowned writer and the most played Slovak playwright, winner of many literary awards, including the seven-time winner of the Alfred Radok Award, which was awarded in Prague for the best Czech and Slovak play of the year. In addition to GUnaGU, his plays are also performed in other Slovak theaters (SND, Aréna, Martin Chamber Theater, MD Žilina ...), but also in the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, France and Canada. Until recently, director Karol Vosátko collaborated with him, who left GUnaGU at the beginning of the 2015-2016 season and founded his own ensemble.

Typical of GUnaGU's performances is the alternation of a fragmentary composition of short images, inspired by video clips and a film montage, with dramatic reworked plays based on character roles and often absurd comics. Viewers see mainly topics from the present (single life of today's people and the break-up of the traditional family, (non) communication by mobile phones and the Internet, loss of interest in talking face to face, increasing xenophobia towards minorities, tension in Europe, sick love in sick times ... etc .), all served by acting, which forms the famous staging style of GUnaGU - to talk about the most painful things of a man with humor, which is not self-serving, but based on the nature of characters and situations. GUnaGU likes to have fun, but is not silent about serious things.

It is the mixing of the dreamy with the comic, the poetic with the brutal, the combination of literary subtleties with the street slang that creates an irritating stage cocktail, sought after especially by young spectators, for whom GUnaGU has become a cult scene. Acting, the theater relies on professionals - graduates of art schools from Bratislava and Prague, but important roles in it are also occupied by talented non-actors, original personalities who give GUnaGU performances the real taste of a human panopticon. In GUnaGU during the past seasons they played whether actors also known from films and show business also play, e.g. Petra Polnišová, Zuzana Šebová, Slavka Halčáková, Viktor Horján, Roman Pomajbo, but Emília Vášáryová is also a guest here, the scenes were designed by the phenomenal Aleš Votava - unfortunately no longer living - the musicians included Oskar Rózsa, Marián Jaslovský, Dano Salontay and Longital, but also Mišo K or the group Hex, or the current representative of electronic classical music Slavo Solovic. At present, the theater set designer is Peter Janků and the costumes are created by Renata Ormandíková. The GUnaGU repertoire is dominated by thematic and genre diversity. The most successful titles of the other seasons is a comedy skim life from environmental reduction study, melancholy comedy about the relationship of mother and son far side of the moon, improvised social story ballet dancer, hackers HOMELESS PEOPLE AND MANAGERS if still popular models from the environment top modeling cabaret REMIX (Best of GUnaGU 1985-2015), but the theater does not shy away from the reaction to the tense present of today's world in the play DIVÉ TOBA, STIVNÉ LOVE, DIVNÉ ŽIVIVY.

The theater also organizes literary readers and book launches, discussion evenings, talk shows and chanson concerts. GUnaGU annually performs 150 performances on the mother stage at the F 7 Theater on Franciscan Square in Bratislava. Several times a month, our games can also be visited by non-Bratislava spectators on regular tours. During thirty seasons, GUnaGU was seen by approximately two hundred thousand spectators not only in Bratislava, but also on tours throughout Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Italy.

In the spectator survey, GUnaGU won the Bratislava Theater Award of the 2014-2015 season.
