In winter, the resort is known primarily for excellent downhill trails of all difficulties, cross-country trails that are part of the cross-country highway, which extends from the Hotel Husárik near Čadca to the Hotel Portáš in Kohútka. It is also characterized by beautiful winter and summer nature, hiking opportunities and beautiful views of the mountains Javorníkov and Beskydy.
In the winter months, the well-known Beskydy-Javornice cross-country highway leads directly along the Javorníky ridge, measuring 54 km and is regularly machined. Very popular is the part of the route from the resort Makov-Kasárne to Melocík (approx. 13 km) or on the other side in the direction of Stratenec to the center Kohútka (approx. 14 km).
The resort is located in the protected landscape area of Kysuce and has the status of a climatic spa (for respiratory diseases), which are parameters comparable to the High Tatras.
The resort offers a wide range of accommodation and meals.
V KOCKE:
• The Kasárna Javorníky resort is located at an altitude of 905 to 1070 m above sea level
• There are 3 transport facilities in the Barracks Javorníky resort and another two in the Barracks Kid Zone.
• In the Kasárne Javorníky resort, there are 3 high-quality and daily groomed slopes plus two slopes under construction from the top to the Bútorka part.
• The ski resort has built and provides free parking directly at the slopes.
• In the event of an accident, the Ski Rescue Service will provide you with assistance; from the 2016/2017 season, all members are also volunteer members of the Fire Brigade and members of the Mountain Rescuers Association. We have a contract with the Mountain Rescue Service and soon there will be a permanent fire brigade center.
• The resort has a sufficient number of free toilets with hot water.
• Refreshments can be found in the Bar & Snack in the valley station of the slope no. First
• The ski resort has a ski service, ski and snowboard school, ski nursery and ski and snowboard rental.
• At the valley station of piste no. 1 and in Bar & Snack there is a free Wi-Fi Hotspot available for visitors.
