It was declared in 1984 and has an area of 65,462 ha. It is located in the districts of Bytča, Čadca, Dolný Kubín, Považská Bystrica, Púchov and Žilina. SKI RÁZTOKA is located in the western part of Javorníky, at the source area of Marikovský brook and below Frňovský sedlo (916 m above sea level) in the main ridge of the Javorníky mountain range 20 km northwest of Považská Bystrica. It is an area of little-affected environment of Javorníky, providing quality recreation for all generations of fans of active movement and pure nature.
SKI RAZTOKA ski resort offers great skiing and beautiful nature. Events in the snow, without snow, in the cottage and excellent home cooking. On frosty days the pleasant warmth of the fireplace and in the summer heat the amazing coolness of the forest.
The resort offers the possibility of active summer and winter tourism with marked hiking trails (Orlové manor 20km, Považský castle 23km, Manínska gorge 25km, hiking trails in the direction of Čertov), or built bike trails along the ridge Javorníkov.
For mushroom lovers, there are endless possibilities to fulfill their hobby from spring to late autumn. Winter stays offer a great opportunity to ski on the piste with three ski lifts, for adults 1000m and 720m long lifts (lower station 660 m and top station 850 m) and for children ski lift 250m long, also quality groomed cross-country trails 120 km long.
