The Závada pod Čiernym vrchom ski resort is located in Strážovské vrchy, 20 km north of the town of Bánovce nad Bebravou. The dominant feature of the resort is Čierny vrch (998 m above sea level). The resort is equipped with two lifts, skiing exclusively on natural snow. The long lift is designed for more advanced skiers (length 1000 m, elevation 145 m). The short lift is suitable for beginners. The resort has a small buffet.
