In summer you can go active hiking, as the surrounding area offers plenty of pleasant hiking tours. You can also make your holiday more pleasant by mushroom picking, or by visiting local attractions such as the Čiernohronská Railway, the Forest Open-Air Museum or the Dobročský Forest.
SKI Čierny Balog offer: for your individual and family trips, trainings and company meetings, motorcycling and cycling events, school trips and various other individual and group activities (geocaching, photohunting ...) we offer: accommodation in double rooms with extra bed and in triple rooms apartments, total capacity 43 x fixed bed + 8 x extra bed. You can try real Slovak cuisine in the Veľká koliba restaurant with a capacity of 52 seats. A small hut with a pleasant sitting by the open fire has a capacity of 24 seats.
History of SKI Čierny Balog:
The construction of the center began in 1985. It was built with the help of the MNV in Čierny Balog, which provided the necessary financial security. Volunteers from the ranks of local ski enthusiasts took part in the construction of the ski resort. In the 1987-1988 season, the first lift was put into operation - TATRA POMA. A new impetus for the development of the center was the change of ownership relations, with the new owners, the construction of the Great Hut gradually began and the center became known to the public as Urbanov vrch. The next step was the expansion of infrastructure, the construction of the Small Hut and in 2007 also "Apartment house" with 33 beds. In order to increase the transport capacity, another "Dopelmeier" lift was built in 2004.
