Šenkvice is one of the few Slovak municipalities in which, in addition to "traditional" football, motocross has also taken root. Its history began to be written in the early 1960s by a group of enthusiasts who took part in the preparations for a motocross race in nearby Vistuk. In 1962, they founded the Automotoklub in ŠENKVICE and began to build a track in the Cerov Valley with the help of many, especially young motocross fans. The first motocross races, which they called Promotional, took place in September 1962 in cubatures up to 175, 250 and 500 cc. The local car club was represented by brothers Štefan, František, Miroslav Zmajkovičovci and Jozef Koláth. After a successful start, Šenkvice enthusiasts subsequently organized the West Slovak Region Championships in 1963. In 1964 and 1966, after experience, the Slovak championships were organized. The greatest success for the officials was the 1967 season, when ÚV Zväzarm, based in Prague, awarded the Šenkvice Auto-motoklub on 8 May to organize the M-SSR championships in cubature up to 250 cc.
In addition to the above-mentioned competitors, other members of the AMK and the organizational team at the time also actively participated in the organization of the event: Silvester Dugovič, Jaroslav Krajčovič, Ing. Ján Zmajkovič, Štefan Belko, Milan Sklár, Vincent Slovák, Vít Kukumberg, Filip Chobot and others. The first chairman of the Šenkvice car club became Ing. Štefan Ifčič.
The next stage of Šenkvice motocross began after almost three years of silence in organizing motocross events in Šenkvice, when local enthusiasts Vincent Lack, Jozef Manek, Vladimír Novák, Viliam Červenek, Jaroslav Mach, Jaroslav Krajčovič and Vincent Slovák managed to resume the car club. It didn't take long, and already on July 5, 1970, the Championships of the West Slovakian Region in 50, 250 and 500 cc cubitions took place on the Cerov potholes. In the years 1970 -1971, the chairman of the club was Jaroslav Mach.
In 1974, the car club acquired land on the premises of the old brickyard after the end of its operation. The large pit after mining was an ideal place for the creation of a motocross track and other necessary spaces and objects. However, countless hours of part-time work were required before the outlines of the new line began to be drawn. A team of active and devoted fans of motocross: Jozef Manek, spouses Eva and Jozef Nemčovičovci, Štefan Mihály, Jozef Gičinský, Viliam Červenka, Vít Kukumberg, Filip Chobot, riders at the time and others under the leadership of the chairman of the automotive club Vincent Lack proved almost impossible. Ing. Vincent Lacko, who took over the baton from Štefan Ifčič, was chairman from 1974-1977. AMK had a rich, but also relatively high-quality base of riders. as at that time they were Vladimír Novák, Jozef Bilčík, Stanislav Antala, Michal Mravec, Gustav Turanský, Peter Riman, Peter Hornáček, Peter Juran, Ladislav Miškovič, their coach was Jozef Manek.
