History
In front of the church, west of the road to Pavlíce, in the decorative enclosure, there is a Monument to the Fallen in the First World War. It was built in 1941 by donations from the citizens of the village. The interesting thing about the monument is that it incorporated the torso of an old baroque column. The pillar (God's Passion) is mentioned in the canonical visitation of 1781 as a stone pillar of the Lord's suffering, on which was also an image of the scourging of Christ.

He originally stood on the way to Pavlice, southeast of the church.

The monument has a three-part pedestal, which consists of three standing blocks. In the middle, larger part, there is a stone Tuscan column, on the head of which stands a cross with the dead Christ, above it is an inscription tape. On the ring of the head is hung a plastic coat of arms with a unicorn, belonging to the family Farkas. On the sides of the coat of arms is a cut-out text with the year: "A. BAR: / 1721". In the base of the column there is a stone plaque with the text: "Monument to the fallen heroes / the village of Pustý Fedýmeš in the World War 1914 - 1918", below the text is engraved the coat of arms of the first Slovak Republic. Stone tablets are mounted in the side parts of the monument. Each board contains the names of 26 fallen Hermit citizens. The monument stands on a stepped podium.
