History
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, the grateful inhabitants of the village of Pečeňady collected archival materials with the names of fallen and missing men who laid down their lives for peace in both world wars. The names of 18 fallen and missing men are carved into a new granite monument, which is set in the local cemetery, next to a stone cross, opposite the House of Mourning. On November 2, 2014, a ceremonial blessing of the monument to the fallen in both world wars took place.
