Location and access
Téry's cottage is located at an altitude of 2015 m above sea level, in the upper part of the Little Cold Valley at the Five Spiš Lakes. Due to its year-round operation and relatively easy accessibility from Starý Smokov, it is a popular destination for tourists in summer and winter.
SHIELD AND VALLEY
From Téry's cottage, tourists can admire a number of famous peaks that surround the Little Cold Valley. Directly from the cottage is a view of the second highest peak of the High Tatras - Lomnický štít (2633 m) and only a few meters lower Pyšný štít (2621 m).
Baranie sedlo (2389 m), below Baranie horns (2526) it connects the Little Cold Valley with the neighboring Great Frozen Valley and the valley is closed by the Ice Shield with a height of 2627 m.
Definitely do not forget the Wide Tower (2461m), lying between three adjacent valleys - Mala and Velka Studena and Javorova.
The middle point (2240m) and the Yellow Wall (2182) rise directly above the cottage and dominate the valley.

In the immediate vicinity of the cottage there are Five Spišské plies - Malé, Nižné, Prostredné, Veľké and Vrchné. Further in the valley, directly below the Baranie horns, the mini Baranie pliesko and below Malý Ľadový štít on the way to Sedielko Modré pleso.
