Already in the 17th century, the mill was owned by the titular bishop Hyacint Markipodary in the village of Jarná, from which it was later bought by the land farmer F. Nagymihályi, after whom the mill was owned by his wife Petronela Nagymihályi. The mill was powered by water only after electrification with electricity.
