Upon arrival at the complex, you can visit the park, the chapel and the current exhibition in the room opposite the chapel free of charge at any time during opening hours. In the castle building, after purchasing tickets, you can see the wire exhibition and castle exhibitions. The entrances to the castle expositions are with a guide at precisely defined times.
Budatín Park
The free historic English park offers a pleasant walk. The history of the park is processed on information panels. In the park it is possible to have a picnic in the summer and enjoy selected sports games. The park has an area of 4.7 hectares.
chapel
The chapel of the Budatín Castle, which dates from the middle of the 18th century and is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, has been beautifully restored in terms of craftsmanship. The most precious artistic and historical monument in it is the illusory altar architecture, in which the altarpiece of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary, originating from the important painter KJ Aigen, is placed. The Žilina self-governing region carried out the renovation of the castle chapel of Budatín Castle with the support of the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism with the motto: we open Budatín Castle for you and save the heart of Budatín Castle - the chapel. Thanks to the EEA and NFM Financial Mechanism, a new space for people has been created in Žilina.
