On the Grapa hill above the small North Slovak village of Klin, there is a unique rarity, a monumental statue of Jesus Christ, which is a copy of the famous Brazilian statue in Rio de Janeiro. The monument, created by a local folk master, is the third copy of the Brazilian Christ in the world and at the same time the tallest statue of the Savior in Slovakia. The statue reaches a height of 9.5 m and weighs 23 tons. Her hands point to the whole of Orava, which she is to protect.

From the hill on which the monument is located, there is a beautiful view of the wide Orava landscape and neighboring Poland - in good weather you can see all the way to Zakopane, Poland. The area around the statue is beautifully landscaped, there are benches, a gazebo and many flowers. Under the statue is built a calvary with a chapel and stops on the Stations of the Cross. Thanks to all this, Grapa Hill is an ideal place for excursions for everyone who wants to indulge in not only physical but also mental peace.
