In the inconspicuous village of Majcichov, which is only eight kilometers from Trnava, a prominent playwright, writer and priest Ján Palárik worked between 1862 and 1870. As he wrote several of his important works in the village and died here as a result of the disease, the inhabitants of Majcichov decided to commemorate his memory by creating a memorial room.
