Vápenná (752 m above sea level), also called Roštún, is the third highest peak of the Little Carpathians. It will delight with beautiful views of Vysoká or Veľká Homola and the path to the top leads through a beech forest. If you are speculating where to go with children, this trip is ideal for the little ones.
The very top of Vápenná is marked by a four-meter pillar with a small viewing platform. The captivating view that comes your way is literally endless. Directly under your feet, the forests will stretch to the horizon.
The ridge is also attractive, as it pays to go further along the red mark. Vápenná welcomes you with its limestone and dolomite bars, which protrude from the wooded terrain. For this reason, Vápenná was once a sought-after training place for climbers.
