At that time, the church also received a new facade.
A more extensive renovation took place in 1876, when new altars were added to the interior. A few years ago, they painted the facade of the tower.
Interesting facts
- The church is one of the most important Gothic monuments in the region.
- The end of the tower is little spent, where instead of a traditional cross we find a pillow with a St. Stephen's crown. This royal symbol can be found in the towers of the churches only exceptionally (St. Martin's Cathedral in Bratislava, St. Nicholas Church in Balog nad Ipľom) and is usually linked to the fact that the real crown in the church was really once.
- In the church, valuable Gothic vaults have been preserved not only in the presbytery but also in the nave itself.
- A survey of the facades found the masonry linings of older windows, as well as one younger key shooting range in the south wall of the nave.
- In the sanctuary there is a richly decorated stone pastophorium from 1470, according to other authors from the period of late Gothic reconstruction in the first quarter of the 16th century.
- We also date to the period of late Gothic a partially preserved mural depicting the apostles sitting next to each other. The central figure of Jesus was destroyed by the addition of a baroque pulpit in 1745.
- From this period, a wooden calvary is also installed above the triumphal arch.
- Several Gothic tracery windows have been preserved on the presbytery and on the south side of the nave. In the basement there is a Gothic portal.
- The time of the extension of the tower is evidenced by the carved dates on the ground floor (1518) and on a small window on the third floor (1520).
- The wooden organ in the west tribune dates from 1640.
- Outside the church there is a late Gothic 12-angle stone baptistery without a pedestal and a shrine of a similar style from the same period.
- Until recently, a fragment of a mural was discovered in the exterior, on the north side of the ship.
- During the Turkish wars, the locals had to dig underground passages leading from the village to the church, which was already fortified at that time.
