Church of St. Imrich

The beginnings of the parish church are given differently. In some schemes we meet the 14th or 15th century, or the years 1391, 1397 and the like.

As early as 1332, we know the name of the local priest, and according to previous knowledge, the building points to a building from the 14th century. In the church visitation from 1781 there is a record that on the church (above the entrance) was the year M.CCC.L.XXXXI, which is the year 1391, ie the end of the 14th century. It cannot be ruled out with certainty that the church was here before.

Parish Church of St. Imrich in Častá was originally built in the Gothic style. The single-nave building was architecturally changed in the years 1936 - 1937 into a three-nave church by reconstructions and completions. Of the original Gothic building, only the sanctuary and part of the tower have been preserved.
