The Klepáč - Machnáč peak group is located south of Trenčianske Teplice. The route that took us
to them introduces, begins at the beginning of the spa park.
Red sign: Park (main orientation board) - Jánošíkova Cave - Klepáč 575 m - Malý Klepáč 470 m (4.1 km, 95 min.). In addition to the Machnáč Spa House and the Evangelical Church, we come to the sidewalk with a slightly rising slope. We will pass the site of the forest educational trail, the cross, the turn to Baračka and we will come to three admirable massive linden trees. By climbing and serpentines we get to the signpost and on the right we head to Jánošík's cave.
Less than half an hour passed. At the upper mast of the former ski lift there is a nice view of the central part of the spa below the southwestern promontory of Grófovec and Slimáková (493 m), in the background are the White Carpathians. We change direction several times, last time to the right and we are at the Klepáč signpost (575 m). The top is a lookout with a built-up shelter and binoculars. Less than an hour has passed since leaving the cave. From the signpost to the yellow sign, a ten-minute descent will take us to the saddle below Machnáč.
The steep ascent to Machnáč (569 m) takes (approx. 7 min). At the highest point is a simple small cross made of untreated wood. After returning to the saddle, we continue together with the blue sign. Later, we must not overlook the sharp turn of the red sign to the right. From the forest hut Baračka it is only a few minutes to the parking lot at the opposite end of the spa park. The time tour does not exceed two and a half hours.
