The unique functionalist swimming pool Zelená žaba in Trenčianske Teplice was designed in the 1930s by the architect Bohuslav Fuchs . However, 15 years ago, the main swimming pool burst, causing the swimming pool to close and begin to decay. Its sent beauty (and I guess also fame) was returned to him with the help of European funds by the Czech company Synot Holding, which invested approximately 10 million euros in the reconstruction.
Swimming pool Zelená žaba offers a main 33 meter long stainless steel pool with various wellness / entertainment elements (water geyser, massage benches, wild river, waves), VIP zone with private pool and whirlpool, children's pool, multifunctional sports field, tennis courts, playground, bowling alley, several buffets, a restaurant with a terrace and a sauna world (4 saunas in the forest, 2 whirlpools, relaxation rooms and changing rooms), which is unique in Central Europe.
The area of the swimming pool is quite large, so you have several options for where to relax - whether right by the pool, on the lawn by the children's pool or in the shade of pine trees under the bowling alley. Numerous cabins are used for changing, which may form the majority of the beautiful functionalist building of the swimming pool. Pleasant unobtrusive music plays in the area with certain breaks.
In the rock above the main pool (at the level of the top floor of the main building) there is a VIP zone with comfortable sun loungers and parasols and a private pool. But prepare an entrance fee of 50 € per person. However, the fee includes above-standard services, such as a personal butler, parking directly at the swimming pool, use of the sauna world and zero waiting times.
In the main building, in addition to one smaller and one larger buffet and changing rooms, there is also a very nice restaurant on the top, third floor, which can be reached by elevator. The restaurant has a beautiful bright interior and restored frescoes from the interwar period on the walls. When entering the restaurant, you do not pass the ban on entry in a swimsuit.
