This technique is reminiscent of the tank battles that took place in this area during the Carpathian-Duklian operation on October 25-27, 1944. It was these days that the most difficult tank battles took place in the Death Valley area during the entire Carpathian-Duklian operation. in addition to the aforementioned symbolic tank company in attack, almost the entire valley is lined with historic tank technology. All exhibits are exhibited near the road, freely accessible, so that visitors have the opportunity to pay homage to fallen soldiers at Dukla at any time.
The entrance to the Death Valley from Svidník from a distance is marked by a well-known monument - the so-called Taran, which consists of two wedged tanks. It is a Soviet medium tank T-34/85, which is symbolically on a higher pedestal with the barrel aimed at a lower enemy German medium tank Panzerkampfwagen IV.
