Babadlo is the only theater of its kind in the entire Prešov region. His work focuses mainly on children's viewers.
The theater strives to bring mainly original Slovak works, world classics and auteur theater.
Through play and theater, he develops a sense of art. In theatrical production, especially for children, he emphasizes artistic and musical processing, work with the puppet. As part of the overall work, we rather adhere to the classic principles of puppet theater and try to maintain a puppet gathering of various types of puppets - puppets, Javanese, puppets, mannequins.
Over the course of 20 years, more than 800,000 thousand children from all over eastern Slovakia could see the theater's work. However, in recent years, spectators from the central or western region of Slovakia have also been able to get acquainted with theatrical performances.
BABADLO successfully presents itself at festivals in Slovakia and abroad. It cooperates and since its inception has turned to fellow puppeteers from the Czech Republic, from whom it takes great inspiration, develops cooperation and brings a large piece of Czech kumšt, heart and humor to Slovak puppet theater.
