On December 7, 1870, Ján Palárik died in the morning hours as a result of poor health at the Majcichov parish. His body was placed in a large pomp in the local cemetery and the grave was marked with a simple iron cross. Today, however, his remains rest in the same cemetery, but in a different place.

His body was placed in a large pomp in the local cemetery and the grave was marked with a simple iron cross. Today, however, his remains rest in the same cemetery, but in a different place.

Juraj Gajdošík, as a poor student and first-year cleric, once came to his co-parent from Raková, Ján Palárik, who supported him with three gold coins with the words: "If you have, you will give it back to me." and when he saw only the iron cross that the Majcichovs had built for Palárik, he decided to have a nice granite monument made for the three borrowed gold coins. Today, the old iron cross, which marks the original site of Palárik's grave, has also been restored
