Sokolia valley

The respectful Sokolia dolina is the most exposed gorge of all in the Slovak Paradise. However, it is also one of the most beautiful, to which its massive rock formations and characteristic waterfalls contribute, especially the highest waterfall in the entire national park, the so-called Veil waterfall.

Sokolia dolina is located on the territory of the Kyseľ National Nature Reserve, there are many rare species of fauna and flora. The location is accessible by a one-way yellow marked hiking trail branching off from Tomášovská Belá. Despite many technical aids such as ladders, bridges, risers or chains, the passage through it is quite demanding and requires increased care. The starting point for tours to the Sokolá dolina valley is mostly the Kláštorisko locality.
