Trinity Square - the main square - in Trnava is named after the Sculpture of the Holy Trinity, which is located in its center. The sculpture was built in the Baroque style in 1695. It was created on the basis of a contract concluded in 1695 by the rector of the University of Trnava, the town council and the parish priest with the Trnava master Ján Krištof Khein. The statue was preserved during the communist era and was in danger of being destroyed. After 1989, it was restored and exhibited in the square as it is today.
