A wooden megaphone is located near the bike path connecting Prešov with the surrounding villages. It is located one kilometer behind the village of Zlatá Baňa, about 200 m behind a gazebo and a fireplace in the Dark Forest. You can also help with Google maps and enter "Voice of the forest" in Google, click on the maps and if you know a little about the surroundings, you will definitely hit.
The new wooden megaphone has no competition in Central or Western Europe. Only Estonians have a similar one. Four young men from the civic association Hlas lesa came up with the idea to create it. Their goal is to get more tourists to attractive parts of the forest in the east of our country.
The megaphone weighs 2.5 tons, has meters and was built by 15 guys in their own time. The construction itself took 50 hours.
One can sit in a megaphone and immediately absorb the sounds of nature. This structure intentionally has the shape of a hexagonal pyramid, because this shape has a property that concentrates the rays and waves reflected from its walls to a single point. A person who sits near this point will hear amplified sounds coming from the surroundings and can comfortably listen to what the forest is telling him.
