Hussite church in Lúčka

On the hill above the village of Lúčka (Rožňava district) are the ancient ruins of a fortified church from the 13th century.

The church once served as a stronghold of Jan Jiskra of Brandýs and his army composed of former Hussites, thanks to which he earned the adjective Hussite. Today, this idyllic ruin is a popular tourist destination. The ascendant will be pleased not only by the beautiful view, but also by the exceptionally fresh air - the area in which the church is located is one of the cleanest in Slovakia.

The ruins of the Hussite church are open to the public.
