The Sládkovičovská dune nature reserve with an area of 1.1 ha consists of a small ridge overgrown with a thermophilic forest. The subject of protection are preserved remains of sandy vegetation with the occurrence of phytogeographically important species on the characteristic, northernmost situated sand dump of the Danube plain.
We get to the reservation on the main road from Galanta to Sládkovičovo, when we turn right towards the thermal swimming pool Vincov les. After turning by the lake, we say goodbye to the hard surface and cross the bridge onto the forest road. And here under the sloping branches of the trees we will see a narrow and slightly paved path straight as a line. We walk slowly and without haste and listen to the forest rustle through various trees. Dogwood, bird's beak, slender ash, milk maple and black oak grow here. And we see light at the end of the forest. On the right side there is a smaller ridge - Sládkovičovská dune.
