The Veterlín locality in the Smoleníc cadastre also belongs to the list of nature reserves from 1 December 2021 under the unifying designation Pralesy Slovenska. The habitat of European importance covered by linden-maple forests has an area of 32.2 hectares. The location is located in the central part of the Little Carpathians on a distinctive steep ridge in the White Mountains, about 4 km northeast of Smolenice. The forest is part of the Záruba National Nature Reserve, territorially protected since 1984 on an area of almost 300 hectares.
