The Lourdes Cave was built by charity and with the active participation of believers from Modranka and the surrounding area and consecrated on May 21, 1944. The stone for construction was transported by train from the vicinity of Smolenice and Nádaš to Trnava, from where it was transported by horse-drawn carriages to Modranka.
