František Hečko (1905 - 1960), a Slovak writer, a well-known native of Suchá nad Parnou, also liked the quiet and beautiful environment of the two most famous valleys in the village of Suchá nad Parnou. That's why he used one of the valleys for his novel about wine and love, called Red Wine. Vlčia Dolina, where he also grew up, was renamed Vlčindol in the work. His life is described in the novel as it really was.
Blue Portugal as a wine variety has quite naturally become the central motif of the novel. Family wineries in Suchá nad Parnou, namely Terra Parna and organic Family wineries Magula follow the traditions and produce Blue Portugal.
