Krupan ponds began to be built 60 years ago (1961). For many, they are associated with summer bathing. A short paragraph was also devoted to them in the long "lost" chronicle from 1957-1965: "In 1961, the construction of a system of ponds began in the valleys. Construction begins at Horná Krupa (gypsy settlement) and ends at the stone bridge. In 1962, two ponds were completed, the water outflow was modified, three bridges were built.
