In 1937, the parish priest Pavel Kottvan donated parish land in the area of 4800 m, which was intended for the construction of a new school. After many difficulties, the construction of a five-class school with a teacher's apartment began in May 1938. The plans were made by a native of Decht, architect Michal Hutta, the construction was carried out by Ing. Jozef Doležal and son from Skalice. At a cost of 645,000, the new school building was completed and solemnly consecrated on August 27, 1939. The old school building was still in use. In 1945, the tarp school was nationalized.
