The purpose of declaring the protected area is to ensure the protection of habitats of European importance: Oak-Brest-Ash lowland floodplain forests, Ash-Alder foothill floodplain forests, Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests, Moisture and acid-loving birch-oak forests, Inland Pannonian (140 pandas) Vresoviská (4030), Natural dystrophic stagnant waters, Lowland to mountain watercourses with vegetation of the association Ranunculion fluitantis and Callitricho-Batrachion, Transitional peat bogs and trails and Lowland and foothill mowing meadows.
