The rosary tradition in Dolná Krupa has strong roots. Countess Mária Henrieta Choteková, who lived in the manor house in the years 1863-1946, whose park is directly adjacent to the Medolandia complex, was most responsible for this. Its rose garden, with its variety of varieties, was one of the largest on the European continent. We managed to preserve her memory by creating the largest private rosary in Slovakia. Right here, just a few meters from the site of the original count's garden, we planted more than 1000 roses.

One of the roses is Rosengräfin Marie Henriette (Pink Countess Maria Henriette), which was bred in her honor on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of her birth by the world-famous German rose company KORDES. We also use chips from this unusually beautiful and fragrant rose in the production of our excellent mead Mária Henrieta. Come and enjoy the beauty of thousands of roses and experience the authenticity of this place, which connects the past with the present.

Out of season (OCTOBER-MAY) the entrance to the complex is free during opening hours.

June 4, 2022 WE OPEN THE ROSE SEASON in Rozário MH Choteková in Medolandia. The first day of this season in Dolná Krupa will be marked by the grand opening of the new part of the rosary. These days we are working hard to prepare the area for planting. More than 100 new varieties will be added and we will plant almost 600 roses.
