A protected site is an area that is legally protected because of its ecological, historical or cultural significance. It serves to protect biodiversity and preserve natural values for future generations. Malé Vážky is also a protected area in the Malé Karpaty state nature conservation administration. It is located in the cadastral territory of the village of Červeník in the district of Hlohovec in the Trnava Region. Červeník has been declared in the 4th degree of protection since 1986 for the protection of aquatic biocenoses important from a scientific research, educational and cultural-educational point of view.
