Territory of European importance. The area is an isolated hill in the foothills of the Little Carpathians formed by calcareous sandstones. In the past, the site was used as vineyards, pastures and later partly as gardens. Xerothermic vegetation of meadows and shrubs has developed through human activity, to which many rare and protected species of plants and animals are attached. It is a very important orchid locality alone in a heavily urbanized landscape.

Xerothermic vegetation of meadows and shrubs has developed through human activity, to which many rare and protected species of plants and animals are attached. It is a very important orchid locality alone in a heavily urbanized landscape.

The biggest threat to the site is the surrounding advancing urbanization of the area. In recent years, the development has moved to the foot of the hill. The gradual overgrowth of steppe communities with woody plants together with the abandonment of farming is another threat to the site.
