After the construction of the new bridge in the second half of the 19th century, the statue was moved and placed in a niche of a new brick chapel. In the sixties of the 20th century, the chapel was removed, the baroque statue on the exposed site was directly threatened by weather conditions, fumes and shocks due to increasing traffic. In 1988, the statue of St. Ján Nepomucký, declared a cultural monument, today it is a national cultural monument registered in the Central List of Monuments. Two years later, a monumental plan to move the statue was realized. By a decision of the town hall in Stupava, a copy of the sculpture was created in 1994, which was installed near the original location at the stream arm of the mill drive. The unrestored original Baroque statue is located in the arcade of the Stupava Calvary.
