The chapel above the older statue of St. Vendelín was built at the end of the 19th century. In 1952, the chapel was in danger of extinction, it was to give way to the grocery store. The evening before the day of the demolition of the chapel, however, the mason Juraj Ščasný, who was entrusted with its demolition, died of a heart attack. Since no daredevil was found to do the work, the chapel remained in place. In 2008, a new wooden statue of St. Vendelín was repaired and installed instead of the original stone one. After the restoration, she was consecrated on October 5.
